SILAH Guardians

Become a SILAH Guardian

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Guardian with SILAH. We are truly grateful for your intention to support work rooted in mercy, responsibility, and care for those who depend on human kindness.

SILAH, meaning “connection” in Arabic, stands for Shining Islam’s Light Across Humanity. Our mission is to transform compassion into action by protecting the vulnerable and relieving suffering. While our early work focused on supporting orphaned children, our efforts now place strong emphasis on animal welfare, beginning with the establishment of a cat sanctuary in Morocco and extending care to other animals in need.

Guardianship with SILAH reflects a personal commitment to sustaining this work in a way that aligns with one’s means and intention. Some choose to support the care of a single life, while others extend their generosity further—helping ensure that multiple animals are rescued, treated, and protected, and that children without guardians continue to receive care when needs arise. Each act of giving, regardless of size, plays a meaningful role in preserving life and dignity.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that relieving hardship carries great reward, and that mercy shown in any measure is never lost. Through your support, compassion becomes shelter, nourishment, healing, and hope.

We sincerely appreciate your willingness to stand with SILAH. If you would like to learn more about how Guardianship works or how your contribution is used, please feel free to reach out to us at connect@silah.org.

May Allah bless your intention and reward your generosity.

SILAH Guardian Application

Abu Huraira narrated that the Prophet (SAW) said, “If anyone relieves a Muslim believer from one of the hardships of this worldly life, Allah will relieve him of one of the hardships of the day of resurrection. If anyone makes it easy for the one who is indebted to him (while finding it difficult to repay), Allah will make it easy for him in this worldly life and the hereafter; and if anyone conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah will conceal his faults in this world and in the hereafter. Allah helps His slave as long as he helps his brother.” (Muslim)
